ADMISSION
Museum admission covers the guided tour of the home. We invite you to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of the kitchen garden at your leisure. The garden includes a variety of flowers, fruits, vegetables and herbs. Both the garden and the Museum Shop may be visited without touring the house. Residents of Lexington, Buena Vista, or Rockbridge County, Virginia, who purchase an adult admission at the regular price and can show proof of residence, such as a driver's license or library card, are eligible to receive a Local Resident Return Visit Ticket. The return tickets are good for an unlimited number of tours (by the individual to whom it is issued) during one calendar year from the date of purchase.
ACCESSIBILITY
Tour alternatives are available upon request for visitors with special needs. A ten minute parking space located across the street from the museum is available for two hours to visitors who have a disabled parking placard or disabled license plate. The entrance is handicapped accessible with a hard surface aggregate walk. A captioned video tour of the second floor of the house is available on the ground floor for mobility impaired guests. For hearing impaired guests, there is a written script of the house tour, or a captioned video tour. Please call ahead for special assistance.
